Thank you to all who made this event a tremendous success!
During the 2008 Hispanic Heritage Month, The Chicano Latino Affairs Council for the State of Minnesota celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront Hotel in the heart of downtown St. Paul.
For 30 years, the Chicano Latino Affairs Council has civically engaged Minnesotanos, captured the Latino voice, and represented the state's most vibrant community at the Capitol in St. Paul.
The anniversary theme was "Minnesotanos...A Cornerstone of Minnesota's Future." This gathering of more than 550 Latino leaders and community members was one of the largest in recent Minnesota history. Attendees included Latino community members leaders, public officials, legislators, and members of the business community.
The CLAC 30th Anniversary Dinner event program honored and recognized the accomplishments of Minnesota's Latino community members and organizations and helped inspire the next generation of Minnesotanos through a special Salute to Minnesota, a video presentation recognized Latino individuals, nonprofit organizations, and businesses that have contributed, served, and championed the Latino community in Minnesota.
